Families in Mound Bayou and surrounding communities will have an opportunity to receive free school supplies during a back-to-school backpack giveaway hosted by Arnetha Chapter No. 54 in partnership with the Mound Bayou R.I.S.E. Foundation.
The event is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the Taborian Hospital parking lot in Mound Bayou, Mississippi. Backpacks filled with school supplies will be distributed while supplies last, and children must be present to receive a backpack.
This giveaway is intended to help students prepare for the upcoming school year by providing essential school supplies at no cost to families. Community members are encouraged to attend, support the event, and share information with families who may benefit.
